Our doorsets offer proven operational durability, with multiple product ranges remaining operational in situ for over 18 years. Our flat entrance doorsets are multi-performance, providing thermal insulation tested at UKAS-accredited facilities to BS EN ISO 10077-1, alongside acoustic insulation tested to EN ISO 10140-2.

Operationally we recycle replacement doors, reformed into heat bricks for our manufacturing facilities, reduce coating waste via automated CNC paint equipment and utilise biodegradable product packaging. To support lower-emission transport, all our sites are equipped with active EV charging stations.

As a member of the SME Climate Hub, we operate a certified ISO 14001 environmental management system across our sites.

An ISO 9001:2015 organisation, we implement a golden thread of quality assurance throughout our Company; and our products through independent third party certification.

This includes Dual Certification for fire resistance and enhanced security for flat entrance doorsets; BlueSky certification for fire doorset manufacture for communal area doorsets and UKCA certification for external fire doorsets.

Additionally, our installation, maintenance and inspection services carry third party certification.

Gerda Security doorsets are manufactured in accordance with third-party certification. Continuous investment into state-of-the-art equipment and bespoke software has enhanced manufacturing processes, allowing for dimensions and data to be automatically cross checked throughout the ordering system.

This ensures that the doorsets meet a building’s requirements within the scope of Gerda’s fire test remit.

Gerda manufacture all doorsets at our wholly-owned and managed factories; providing us with the ability to control and measure every element of the manufacturing process. This capability enables us to offer competitive lead times on all project sizes.

Traceability is a core feature of our manufacturing processes. Since the 1990’s each unique doorset is produced with its own code and this Is now part of the G-Smart App, our own system of digital life-cycle management.

G-Smart holds the ‘DNA’ – tracking the doorset from its inception at the survey stage through to doorset manufacture and on to installation, maintenance and repair.

Gerda has always engineered their products to exceed recognised industry test standards to provide verified compliance.

The doorsets undergo rigorous primary testing in a range of styles and configurations, offering multiple specified options for the living and accommodation environment.

Our primary-owned test evidence at UKAS accredited test houses means that our fundamental doorset design and construction is consistently tested.

Unlike cascaded test evidence owned by someone else, Gerda’s primary-owned test evidence portfolio is comprehensive and provides proven, compliant solutions for the built environment.
